We love Dr. Seuss and the books that he wrote,
We would read them with green eggs and ham in a boat.
We used red and white to make funny striped hats,
So we could look just like his infamous cat.
We read Hop on Pop and of red and blue fishes
And sent Dr. Seuss our best birthday wishes!
We had a great time seeing how a grocery store works! We watched the Deli slice cheese, saw how Bakery decorated cakes, and named lots of fruits and veggies in the Produce section. We also went behind the “Employees Only” door and saw all the stock rooms. Back at school, we set up our own store with cashiers and shoppers. What a fun field trip!
Our teddy bear picnic in January was a big success! We invited our favorite teddy bears to join in the festivities. We put blankets on the floor, ate peanut butter and honey sandwiches, tasted berries, and read stories about bears.
The picnic inside with all our friends was “beary” fun!
Today was a Hat Day at My Smart World preschool. Children and teachers wore their special hats to school. Students learned about various jobs that use hats, looked at images of different styles of hats through the history, and even made their very own hats to take home!
Ho-Ho-Ho! Children at My Smart World preschool had a very special Christmas celebration. They made holiday crafts, sang Christmas carols, performed for their families, and had a fun visit with Santa!
Boo! Dressing up is always fun, but combine that with fun activities and good friends, and we had a “spooktacular” party at My Smart World preschool!
What a fun field trip! All of the children at My Smart World preschool visited a local pumpkin patch. They wandered through a maze, took lots of fun pictures, and saw what real turkeys look like!
We learned all about our community and the people who help us every day. We even had a special visit by our local firemen! We are so thankful for our community helpers.
Howdy, partners! Our Western Day at My Smart World preschool was a huge success. We had so much fun roasting marshmallows around the campfire, wearing our best Western attire, and even learning some dance moves!

In January, we talked about the New Year. We counted down the New Year and jumped on bubble wrap. What a fun way bring the New Year in with a loud bang. The children went outside in the snow and made snow angles. Walter was so cold he said: He was going to turn blue. In February we talked about Valentines and community helpers. Our children mailed home valentines and learned how the mail system operates. Benj said he received his card and was so excited, because it was the first letter the mailman brought for him in the mail. In March as we talked about transportation, we discussed the kinds of cars their parents drove and about trucks and buses. Walter said that his family drove a big bus car that was white. I said that it was a white SUV and he was mad that it wasn’t a bus. In April, we talked about the different kinds of animals. One of the cute things Cassidy said was that she had animals at home and that they were her brothers.
